AREA OF IMPROVEMENT:
My weakness is to "Create equations that describe numbers or relationships." I can create simple equations, yet I still do not feel confident with my answer. The beginning of creating equations is to understand the given word problem, which I do not enjoy.
IMPROVEMENT PLAN:
I know that my weakness is being lazy to read and understand the given word problem in order to create equations. So to improve myself, I can practice working on more word problems. Also, I can stop being lazy and use more details.
STRENGTH:
Since I have practiced this from Algebra 1 until now, Algebra 2, I am confident to say that my strength is "Performs arithmetic operations on polynomials." It has become a habit for me to remember how to work the given arithmetic operations. Without knowing instantly on how to work these out, I think I would have failed most of my tests. I am proud to say that I am very confident under this standard.
Self-Assesment
Shelly earns $8 an hour. She earns $12 an hour for each hour over 40 that she works. Sketch a graph of Shelly's earnings versus the number of hours that she works up to 60 hours. Then write a piecewise function for the graph.
