/Functions
AREA OF IMPROVEMENT:
One of my weakness is to "interprets and analyzes functions using different representations." To do this the main thing that is involved are graphs. Graphs are one of my biggest weakness in math. I tend to mess up on little details most of the time, or sometimes not accurate.
IMPROVEMENT PLAN:
To improve on my skills in graphing I need to pay more attention to what I am doing. I need to be more detailed since graphing can be a simple task. I need to remind myself on what I have learned in times I cannot use my notes. Finally, I need to remind myself that it is not as hard as it seems.
STRENGTH:
WIth the help of my calculator, I am pretty confident in "Constructs and compares linear, quadratic, and exponential models." By using my calculator, I can come up with a more accurate model of the functions needed to be found. But without using the calculator I still be able to compare different function models.
Self-Assesment
Evidence of Learning

Each group was assigned the same word problem (left). We all had to create a function to find the best investment plan for Sam. As a result, by creating different functions, we can conclude that 5% rate of growth when Sam is 32 would be the best plan for him.
Steps:
-
Read and understand problem given
-
Create and label graph
-
Calculate
-
Plot points and connect the dots for each investment plan (according to their color)
-
Create key for easier understanding
