/Syllabus
This Advanced Algebra course will help students build on their knowledge of linear, quadratic, and exponential functions to include logarithmic, polynomial, rational, and radical functions. The course is not simply Algebra in more depth; It includes standards from the conceptual categories of Number and Quantity, Functions, Geometry, Statistics, and Probability. For the Algebra 2 course, instructional time will focus on four key areas. The first is the arithmetic of rational expressions and numbers. The second is expanding the understanding of trigonometric functions. The third is extending the understanding of exponential and logarithmic functions. Finally, the fourth area will focus on data displays, statistics, and probability.
